Are you looking to compost your food scraps, but want a little help? That’s where Tommy’s come in. We provide you with a 5-gallon collection bucket (or two) that you use to store your food waste. Then, on your pickup day, you bring your bucket(s) to the curb and for us to empty and compost for you.

We recommend the following options:

Weekly Pickup - $31/Month - For Households of 3+ (Best Value!)

Biweekly Pickup - $21/Month - For Households of 1-2 People

Two-bucket options are also available. You can easily register for any of our plans by clicking the button below.

We provide commercial and business composting in the Berkshires. We are aware of what managers have to think about on a day-to-day basis, so we work with you to efficiently integrate composting into your routine. We will also work with you to ensure that your outdoor receptacles are appropriate for your location. If you have bears, close neighbors, or other concerns, we have solutions for you.

The best way to understand the cost of this service is to estimate how much you will be composting. This will allow you to understand how many receptacles you need, as well as how many pick-ups make sense.

We love working with schools on reducing their waste- that’s why we have our own School Composting Program! We work with individual schools or entire school districts to tailor a program that is just right for your community and student population. Whether you have 4-year-olds or graduate students, we are happy to help.

We also offer educational programs for schools to help students and staff to learn about the world of composting. Owner Mary Stucklen is a former middle school science teacher who loves being in the classroom with kids. We can guarantee a fun and engaging lesson!

Are you hosting an event in the Berkshires or in a surrounding area? We would love to work with you on diverting your food waste from the trash and have it be composted instead! We have options to meet the needs of any event, large or small.

Our event composting includes the drop-off and pick-up of portable composting carts. We line the carts with compostable bags, and each cart can hold up to 120 pounds. We recommend two carts for events up to 150 people, and can add more as needed. We pride ourselves on our flexibility, so feel free to reach out with any questions you may have.

Late-night pickup is available for a small additional fee.
