Tommy’s Compost Service helps homes and businesses throughout the Berkshires compost their food waste and generate beautiful, nutrient-dense soil. By doing so, we reduce greenhouse gas emissions and support local food systems for a more sustainable tomorrow.

Tommy’s Compost Service is named after the cutest toddler ever, Tommy! Tommy’s Mom, Mary, launched Tommy’s Compost in 2021 to provide our community with a reliable food waste business. She tailors her service to every beautiful home and business in the Berkshires. Tommy’s Compost provides a unique composting experience unmatched by others (you could call it a mother’s touch). Our Services
Residential Composting
We offer our residential food waste pickup service throughout Berkshire County. We provide you with a 5-gallon bucket (or two) for collecting your food scraps, which is emptied on your scheduled service day. Plans start at $21 for biweekly and $31 for weekly pickup. Business Composting
We offer business composting services that are both efficient and tailored to your needs. We offer food waste pickup using 32-, 48- and 64-gallon carts and have a range of plans for you to choose from.

Events & More
No event is too big or too small for us. We have served weddings, races, festivals, games, and more.
We deliver bins promptly and directly to your event location. All you have to do is place them where you like, and then place them for pickup at the end of the event. No hassle = happy composting!
